Celeteque Hydration Alcohol-Free Toner Review

Hello everyone! 🙂 Welcome back to my blog. The last time I posted a skin care product review, I talked about a facial scrub/exfoliator, which falls under the second the second step of the Korean 10-Step Skin Care Routine. (Click the links to see more Skin Care posts.) Now we’re moving on to the next step, which is Toner. Today I will be reviewing the Celeteque Hydration Alcohol-Free Toner. If you’re interested to know whether this product is good, bad or just right, keep reading. 🙂 (Spoiler alert: This is the only toner I have and use. That says A LOT about my feelings toward this product.) 😉

PACKAGING – Is the packaging pretty enough to give as a gift to someone? Is it fragile? Is it sturdy or flimsy? Is it bulky or travel-friendly? Does it get dirty easily? Is it hygienic?

PERFORMANCE – Is it easy to use/apply? Are the instructions easy to follow? To whom do I particularly recommend this product? (dry, normal, combination, oily, sensitive, acne-prone, troubled, mature, wrinkled skin, men)

LONG TERM USE – Will I use it again or continuously? Will I repurchase it once I run out? Are there long-term skin benefits?

VARIETY – Are there enough choices or variants for everyone? If it is a product for a specific skin type, does it perform well?

VALUE FOR MONEY – In skin care, it does not matter whether the price is high or low; as long as the product works for one’s specific skin needs and/or preferences. But! J Of course I prefer more affordable brands. 😉 Also, it helps if the brand offers samples or deluxe sizes of their products so people can try it first before committing on the full size. 🙂

Packaging Performance Long Term Use Variety Value for Money
Celeteque Hydration Alcohol-Free Toner 5 4.75 4.25 4.5

Overall Rating: 4.7/5

PACKAGING – The toner comes in a plastic bottle packaging. The product is easy to dispense and the bottle is not too bulky or too slim. The bottle is not too flimsy as well and I can see myself traveling with it; but I prefer much smaller bottles or sample sizes for travel. (5-10mL) However, considering the quality of the packaging (bottle), I can recommend this for travel. The labels on the bottle are clear and the instructions are easy to follow. However, the ingredient list is not found anywhere on the bottle. You can check them out at https://www.celetequedermo.com/

PERFORMANCE – The toner has a watery consistency. Ideally, watery toners are dispensed onto a cotton pad/ball and then applied to the face. I used to do this until I realized that a lot of product gets absorbed by the cotton ball. From then on, I just pour the toner directly onto the palm of my hand and then apply it to my face. I find that it maximizes the amount of product I’m getting. The toner gets absorbed by the skin quickly and it feels refreshing and moisturizing without the greasy sensation or feeling. I find that even people with oily skin can use this toner. In fact, I can recommend this toner to all skin types. It is a basic watery toner that can be used both during the day and at night. It is also alcohol-free. It doesn’t tingle like most alcohol-containing skin care products do. People who are sensitive to alcohol-containing products can use this toner.

LONG TERM USE – I have been using this toner for more than a year now; and it has never broken me out. I find it to be one of my most repurchased skin care items. If you are looking for a basic toner that you can use both for your daytime and nighttime skin care routines or if you are just starting out with skin care, this is the toner I recommend. However, if you are looking for a toner that will solve certain skin issues, this toner won’t do anything for you.

VARIETY – Celeteque has two toners, the Hydration Alcohol-Free Toner and the Acne Solutions Oil Control Toner. It is not a wide variety but since I think that the Hydration Alcohol-Free Toner can work for all skin types, I have no problem with the selection they have. I haven’t tried the Acne Solutions one yet; but if you have oily, acne-prone or troubled skin, you might want to try that one instead. 🙂

VALUE FOR MONEY – Celeteque is an overall affordable drugstore brand in the Philippines. This specific toner costs PHP82 (less than $2) for a 65mL bottle and PHP129 (≈$2.50) for a 120mL bottle. Really affordable, right? You can also purchase the Traveler’s Basics Hydration Kit if you want to try more products from the same line (cleanser, toner & moisturizer) at the same time. Celeteque products are also very easy to find. You can find them at Watsons, Mercury Drug and even at the beauty sections of department stores. Overall, I don’t think trying this product out would make a huge dent in someone’s wallet. 😉

In conclusion, I think this product is a good find and is definitely one of the better toners from the drugstore.

That’s all for my review. I hope you guys like these Skin Care product reviews. I’ll see you in the next one. Annyeong! :*
