Cheapest Items in My Stash 2016 (Makeup and Tools)

Benefit, MAC, Too Faced, Smashbox and Lancôme. What do these brands have in common? They are all EXPENSIVE! VERY EXPENSIVE! If you are a student like me, then you know you can’t afford to buy any product from any of these brands, no matter how much hype they’re getting or even if your favorite Youtubers and bloggers recommended them to you. It’s because WE’RE POOR AF! 😦 Yes, we can save up for that gorgeous Chocolate Bar Palette all them beauty gurus use non-stop for their tutorials, but it will take time. And again, DAS EXPENSIVE! I can’t. I just can’t. That price. 😀 So we always look for bargains, sales and freebies. We look for cheaper products in general. We look for makeup items and tools that are within our budget. This is where the drugstore comes to the rescue. With lots of products to offer at an affordable price, the drugstore is heaven for makeup junkies like us. 🙂  It does not matter whether you are rich or poor, or whether you are on a budget or not; the drugstore has A LOT of beautiful affordable products but with good quality. Some are even comparable to more expensive high end makeup products.

So I looked into my collection and looked for the cheapest products I have. Now, what do I mean by “cheapest products?” Is it lower than 500 pesos? No. Is it lower than 300 then? No. How about 200? No. I am talking about dirt cheap products, those that cost less than 100 pesos. Now DAS CHEAP! 😉

You might think, “What?! Elynne? Under 100 pesos? You’ve got to be kidding me. NO. I’m not. All of the products I’m about to show you are priced lower than 100 pesos. Some items are bought on sale but they’re ALL relatively cheap, way cheaper than other drugstore products. Believe it or not, THESE WORK! I would not have them lying in my collection up to this day if they don’t. You just have to trust me on this one. 😉

*Note #1: I would not go into full detail about each of the products in this post but I will be posting reviews of some of the individual products I will be mentioning here. Feel free to comment which particular product/s you want me to review, but rest assured that I will try my best to review all or most of them. 🙂

*Note #2: I would do another post similar to this featuring skin care products below 100 pesos. Stay tuned for that. 🙂

picsart_1479786648676

          *Price – 55 pesos

*Dual-ended

* It says that it’s waterproof and smudgeproof but is not

*Brown end – good for tightlining, not for lower lashline as it may smudge, not very               pigmented

*White end – perfect for waterline, brightens up the eye and makes you look more “awake”, can also be used as browbone highlight, pigmented

*Both sides have no shimmer or glitter

*They have another shade, 01, which has black instead of brown on one end

  1. Rucy’s Vanity Pearl Foundation (as highlight)

picsart_1479785971266

*Opaque and pigmented on first swipe

  1. Essence xxxl long lasting lip gloss (Coral Delight)

picsart_1479786112198

*Price – 75 pesos (on sale)

*I’m not a big fan of glosses, but this is not sticky at all

*Pigmented for a gloss, I can wear it on its own

*Beautiful when layered over coral or orange lipsticks (this particular shade)

*Not necessarily long lasting, like the name suggests, but because it has high pigment, it lasts longer than sheerer lip glosses

*Not so much glitter, which I prefer

*Smells SOOOOO GOOD!

*FULL ON REVIEW TO BE POSTED SOON

picsart_1479785424480

  1. Daiso blending sponge

picsart_1479786158173

          *Price – 88 pesos

*Good alternative to the beauty blender (or any sponge that expands when wet or                   damp)

*Doubles in size when damp

*Not too hard when “bounced” on the skin

*Does not soak up too much product

*Nice shape (comparable to Real Techniques miracle sponge)

*Lots of colors and shapes to choose from

  1. San san eyelash curler

picsart_1479786224049

          *Price – 55 pesos

*Does not have extra rubbers for replacement

  1. Nichido lash glue

picsart_1479786266529

          *Price – 60 pesos

*It’s GOOD!

*Sticky enough to glue false lashes but easy to remove with makeup remover or                       cleansing oil

*It’s TINY

*Not recommended for makeup artists or those who wear false lashes everyday                        because of its size

*Good for those who are beginners at applying false lashes (like me!)

  1. Ever bilena cosmetic sharpener

picsart_1479786313691

          *Price – 55 pesos

*It’s a sharpener, so it sharpens stuff. HAHAHA

*Has two holes, a smaller and a bigger one 😉

*It’s cheap and it works. Go get yourself one now!

  1. Daiso brush cleaner

picsart_1479786367686

          *Price – 88 pesos

*Cleans brushes well

*I prefer using it for eye brushes while changing between eyeshadow shades/colors

*Not recommended for face brushes (JUST WASH THEM!)

*Does not smell good

*Does not remove waterproof makeup (gel liners/mascaras/cream shadows)

*Good for its price

These are the makeup items and tools in my collection that cost less than 100 pesos. I hope this was helpful to you in one way or another. Just remember, it doesn’t matter whether you use cheap or expensive makeup, because at the end of the day, it’s makeup. It washes off. And seriously, who would even notice if you’re wearing a 3000-peso highlighter or a 100-peso one? Just keep practicing and be creative. After all, your skills are what matter. And as long as you are happy with what you are doing, you are doing the right thing. 🙂 Be happy! Stay healthy! Annyeong! :*
