What It Takes to be a K-Pop Fan

Hey everyone! 🙂 For this post I would like to share with you another obsession of mine: KPop. (Hello to my lovely readers who are KPop trashes as well!:*J) In case you are reading this post and you haven’t heard of KPop yet, HAVE YOU BEEN LIVING UNDER A ROCK?! Nah. Just kidding. 🙂 If you’ve already heard about it but you’re not interested, go ahead and leave this page; because this might not be helpful to you in any way. But if you love KPop like me, or are interested in getting into a KPop fan club anytime soon, then please keep on reading. 🙂

GUIDELINES IN GETTING INTO THE KPOP WORLD:

  1. Know your KPop groups well.

-Thou shall not mistake any group for another as that may result into misunderstanding, and furthermore, fan wars. Watch their music videos, watch variety shows as well so you may know more about the personality of your idols and listen to their songs because THEY’RE GOOD! Support your favorite KPop groups by voting in polls and music shows. Buy their albums if it fits your budget and work hard to save up for that SHINee concert you’ve been dreaming of! (note to self hehehe)

  1. Pick your bias. (if possible)

^like how? In so many Kpop groups, that is almost impossible; but trust me, you can find yours. 😉 On the first watch, you might not be able to pick your bias yet; but as you continue to stan the group, you find yourself being biased toward a certain member. That’s when you know, he/she’s got your heart! ❤

  1. Keep calm and wait for their comeback.

-I know, that is SOOOO HARD for in demand groups like Big Bang and 2ne1; but that is the only thing we can do. Wait. Just wait. Before you know it, they’re already slaying you and your entire existence. (YG what’s good? Where’s my WINNER comeback at?)

  1. Know that they’re going to have a partner both in dramas/shows and in real life.

^”What?! NOOOOOO!!! ANDWAE! JEOLDAE ANDWAE!,” says the sasaeng fan. Don’t emulate. Just know that your idols are human beings too, capable of loving and being hurt. You say you love them every single day; but you can’t be happy for them? What kind of fan are you? What kind of person are you? A true fan knows his/her limits and promotes only love and peace for all mankind. 🙂

  1. Your idols’ personal opinions and stand on certain issues DO NOT affect their music and performance whatsoever.

-Like #4, this is an important reminder to people who are quick to judge and are easily affected (and offended) by the idols’ posts on social media. What they say about certain issues may affect the way you view them as a person, but does not affect their music and their craft. The next time you find yourself typing that hate message on their Youtube music video, think again. Does your comment have anything to do about the MV? Or are you doing that just for attention? Seriously, think before you click. 🙂

  1. Do your research.

-This comes in handy when you read articles and news on the Internet. Do not believe anything unless you have enough proof or evidence, or if you have enough information regarding the topic. Get information only from reliable sources and NEVER from the comments section.

  1. Work hard.

-As a KPop fan, it is my dream to attend concerts and fan meets of my favorite artists. But I do not come from a wealthy family. That’s why as a student, I save up not only for my dream concert, but also for the future. I encourage you to do the same. Work hard not only for yourself and your personal goals and ambition, but also for your loved ones and your future.

And the most important rule of all,

  1. Be an ambassador/ambassadress of love and peace in the KPop community. (and in the whole world, of course) 🙂

-I think this is the best advice of all. Just be a good person and think happy thoughts. As long as you choose to see only the good in everyone, the world would be a much better place. If you do not like a particular thing or person, just keep it to yourself or try to give only positive criticism. Let us all help make the world a happy and safe place to live in. My advice is: LISTEN TO KPOP, IT FEELS GOOD! That’s everything for this post. Thank you for stopping by. Annyeong! 🙂

Nothing can be truer. 😉 (ctto of the pic)
